Do I have to purchase new equipment?
No, you do not have to purchase new equipment. Your coaches can help determine if your equipment is safe, fits properly and is in good condition.
What about uniforms?
Uniforms are league owned and will be issued to grades 3-8 for use during the season. A $75 security deposit will be collected. The check will not be cashed as long as the uniform is returned at season’s end.
When is the Season?
Lacrosse is a spring season sport usually starting in late March and running through late June. Field conditions will determine how early we can start the season.
Can my child play more than one spring sport?                                                  Although some children do participate in more than sport per season, it is not recommended due to potential scheduling conflicts with practices and games.
Who will we play?
Boys in grades 3-8 will play teams in the Hudson Valley Area. (Orange and Rockland Counties) Girls in grades 3-8 will generally play teams in the Bergen County, NJ and Rockland County, NY areas. On occasion we will enter teams in area tournaments. Schedules will be posted on our website before the beginning of the season.
Where do we play?
We practice and play our home games at Warwick Town Park - 117 Union Corners Road in Warwick. Directions are on our website.
Is there contact in Lacrosse?
In boys lacrosse body contact (body checking) is not permitted until players reach the 5th grade. At that point it's very minimal contact. Controlled stick checking is allowed at all levels. In Girls lacrosse there is no body checking permitted, only very minimal stick checking.
